I'm looking to expand my audio collection with some music that is similar to what Wayman Tisdale produced. He has created some "smooth jazz, RnB" or whatever it's really called that is pretty groovy and what I'd like to play more of. Sure some of it seems highly processed and electronic but he's got some cool bass lines. Can anyone recommend anything similar to that sort of thing? "Brand New" by Wayman Tisdale would be a song I'm looking for more things similar, specifically with good/well known bassists playing on the albums. Also, maybe some more albums similar to what Marcus Miller produced, MINUS all of the slap stuff.
Brian Bomberg is a really good bass player. I used to see him on the smooth jazz channel a lot when my brother would put it on.
Would you guys put Sade in that same category? Especially their first 3 records. Paul S. Denman= groove monster!
