What do you think of The Smug Bastards as a name for a jazz-rock band?
i say run with it. and it would make a great t-shirt
what an overwhelming percentage so far!!!
I like the name. I mean, no matter who headlined, or who you played with, you would always be better than them, just from the looks. "Damn, look how smug they are, they must kick ass". Go for it. it's sarcastic, Cool, and just the (in the case of the bassplayer) damn truth.
What is wrong with your pic it is very blury. For the name of the band i dont know if any places with a good rep would let a band perform with that name. If it is jazz based music alot of bands play in Resturants, how did you come up with the whole smugly thing. Best of luck with your name i hope you and your bandmates can agree on a name. what about the smugsters
I've obtained some more input from elsewhere--"The Smug" might be a better one.
I was thinking the "Peter McFerrin Band"...
But Smug Bastards actually sounds really good.
'The Smug' is much better, IMO. Simply 'Smug' if you were a rock band.
BTW, your new avatar pic just doesn't convey the smugness that the old one did. And since you're obviously working the smug thing...
How about "The Smug Mugs"?
y'know like the gangster, but SMUGGER
Sounds too close to "Deadsy." No thanks.
The Smug Beatles.
the first thought htat came to mind was "the smugglers" but thats been suggested
Personally, I'd avoid swearing in a band name
How about the Peter McFerrin Trio?
you should call your band
PETER MCFERRIN and the McFerrits..
You could do a Mcdonalds tour. Be on the mainstage in the Happy land!!!
KoRn RawKz DaWg.. KuZ theRe AdidAs Mach Mi Addidas... wurd
Come on, that band had talent! I mean sure, he was chers son and everything, but i'm SURE that had NOTHING to do with getting a "All filler" album!
I like "The Smug" better....
how about Captain Kangaroo and the Furious Two?
If you don't want that, can I have it?
