No later than the demise of my last band I am a founding father of a new "supergroup". Everyone in the group is a vertan of a local band here who left due to egos of past members. Cool huh.

Our covers for our shows in Jan. and Feb. are (and yes we are writing originals).

Owner Of A Lonely Heart- Yes
    Drive- The Cars
    Bad Religion- Godsmack
Zombie- The Cranberries (yes, one of our lead vocalists is female)
In The Air Tonight- Phil Collins
Message in A bottle and Don't Stand so close to me- The Police
My Name is Mud- Primus (I get to sing and play, the crowd shall worship me for this one!)

Just wanted to do songs that every other band in town wears out.

Nice selections. I don't care too much for "Owner Of A Lonely Heart", and I'm not familiar offhandedly with "Drive". I might suggest "Voodoo" over "Bad Religion" for the Godsmack (just leave off the repeating "Voodoo" at the end...). But all the others are excellent choices.

  3. If your gigs include younger people, I might suggest (because I am dumb)

    Nirvana "Smells Like Teen Spirit"
Primus "Jerry Was A Racecar Driver"

Just 'cause I like those songs lol.

    Goodbye Pork Pie Hat!!
You can make the singers feel useless, while you jazz it up!
You might need some brass players though...
