So How'd your football team do this weekend?

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by dryheatbob, Sep 13, 2004.

  1. Just curious how everyone's team did on this most sacred of weekends, week one in the NFL.

Alas, my Saints lived down to expectations, not only losing to Seattle, but looking for all the world like a bad JV highschool team in doing so- penalties, dropped passes, turnovers leading to Seahawk touchdowns... eeewwwwww.

The only high notes were Aaron Brooks looking pretty sharp, considering his lack of play in preseason, and Joe Horn picking up 100+ yds on six receptions. And he left his cell phone in his locker. :smug:

    So how'd your team do?

I saw some of that game- I thought, considering the Gamecocks aren't(at the moment) ranked, they played a good game. Nuthin' to hang there heads about in that one.

My Alma Mater, De La Salle High School in Concord, CA, lost it's first game since 1991, a streak of 151 games, about a week ago.

I rooted for them to lose for a long long time, (the scars of going to a jock school, and being anti-jock, yet pro-athletes), but then I thought it was kind of cool and rooted for them.

    Dallas Cowboys lost.
