Yup. Best filter out there, IMO. Congrats on the purchase.

I used it at a gig last night for the first time. During our sound check, my guitarist asked me why I got that instead of a Mutron. I told him it's more Mutronish than a Mutron. He asked how that could be, so I switched it on and played. Now he wants to get rid of his Mutron and get one.

i got one for christmas... best gift ever

  7. I bought one on a 30% off Christmas sale so it was a really good deal! I like it a lot too

Edit: I have not tried the Mutron. The Emma pedal was worth the money, then again they are cheaper on this side of the Atlantic since they are made in Denmark.

IMO the disCUMbobulator is a pale imitation of the Mutron. Maybe we're looking for different things. Nothing out Mutron's the Mutron.

I'd totally agree, based on my experiences.

I've heard that the circuit has been changed in last year or so, so maybe it's been improved. The one I tried had substantial low end loss, as did the one Mad Subwoofer (as in 'whatever happened to') reviewed a couple of years back.

I tried the same one as Toasted did, TWICE mainly because of the reviews here, it still surprises me that people think it is as good as they do, granted it is better than most filters such as the Q-tron, dod fx25. But its only about on par with the EBS Bass IQ maybe not even that good.

See you lot are gonna make me go back and try it again  :D

  12. Tay, I just gotta say...

The spread on the bed looks awesome....

to put them on teh same plane of existence as a pregnant coke whore is simply blasphemous. Now, to say, "If we all had these, we'd get all the love we need" is a much better way to say it... I'd be hearin' ya.

Britany, ugh shoot me..... no wait, POP POP POP... phew... that was close.

an original or a mutron III? it's like night and day for me. my mutron sounded cool and it was a nice effect just nowhere near the grease i get with the EMMA.....there is a little low end loss but not much at all.....

Toasted has a '72 Mutron so he's probably comparing it to that. But from different people playing I'd say the current RI as iffy as it is better sounding than the EMMA. But it's all opinion as its both right and wrong ;) :p

Has anyone that has/or has tried the EMMA pedal tried a pigtronix ep-1? I can't seem to decide between the two. :eyebrow: comparisons? good? bad?

IMHO the pigtronix is far better than the EMMA it's far wetter and has alot more versatility, however it is alot bigger and it does require it's own AC power supply (which is included) but it means you can't run it off your standard power brick. But none the less still one of the best filters out there.

Did you lose any of your lows when you played through it?

ok, so to be clear, you're not comparing the emma to a vintage mutron but to the haz labs reissue?
