and i have a dent in my 1985 spector Ns

its right under the pickup. its about the size of a pencil eraser. people say thats not much but i love my bass more than my girlfriend.

i will include it in the insurance claim but idk if they will do anything cause it doesnt affect the playing. but i am SOOO mad cause i kept this in really good condition

what should i do besides tracking this guy down and killing him???

is there any hope for my bass????

crap i spelled drunk wrong. THATS HOW PISSED I AM

UPDATE: i just realized that i made a unintentional pun because im not English i didnt get it lol

UPDATE 9/6 : i talked to the insurance company and they said i have to get a estimate on how much it would take to fix the bass and that's how much the will give me for it.

so i took the strings off today and the bridge fell apart in pieces. COOL

You should be able to collect on the claim. Since he was drunk, and at fault, the insurance company is going to want to settle. You could also claim it under your insurance, and your company would then go after the guy...

Playability has nothing to do with it. If the accident caused damage to your property, he's liable for it.

happened to me several years ago, my only problem was that the bass was stuck in the trunk while the body shop had to pry it open.

Are you in the US? Talk to an attorney if so (or maybe also in other countries, depending on how your laws and civil court system work). Seriously. I don't like how we sue everyone at the drop of a hat in the US, but I think drunk drivers need to pay and suffer a lot more than they do. Many/most accident attorneys take cases where they are only paid a percentage of a settlement ... if the attorney doesn't get you a settlement, he / she won't get paid.

Sorry about your bass man. I like mine all mojo'd up, but I understand folks who don't share that view.

the title was "i got hit by a druck driver" but it magically changed itself
  15. As the rest have stated, be greatful that your ok.

Here in Canada, I'm not sure about the states, that statement even though ment in anger of the moment, can get you arrested for uttering death threats.

I feel for your pain bud, hope it all works out in your favour.

i read on the warwick site that dents can be swollen back again if you put a damp cloth over the dent and heat the cloth with a soldering iron.

DO NOT take my word for it

I'm happy ur safe but I feel your pain about the damage...sorry dude
  17. right exactly. i think it should be just like if the truck driver dents your car, the insurance company pays for it no matter how drivable the car is after the accident.
  18. You should be very grateful that you were not killed by the SOB.:( You can always replace a bass, but not a life. I've been rear ended by a drunk driver and the ba$tard drove off and left me to deal with the wreckage.
