Yesterday I went to Juan's shop and got myself a nice Bergie 610 cab. Other cabs I tried were the Schroeder 310212, Aguilar 412, Mesa Powerhouse 1000, and Bergie 215. I must say that my 2nd choice would have been the 310212, and after that the Bergie 215. That said, these are all great cabs. But the Bergie 610 in particular sounded awesome to me. It has great lows, which sounded on par with the 215 but the 310212 lacked slightly in this manner (lows didn't feel as present as with the other 2 cabs). The highs are very punchy, though the 310212 and 215 actually seem to have better highs to me. However, the 610 sounded handled slapping and popping better to my ears, even though it didn't have the sparkley highs of the 310212 nor the smooth highs of the 215. The 310212 had the most present mid boost, but the 610 had more mids than the 215. While I wouldn't say the 215 felt loose (like the EV 215 I have) the 610 and 310212 were definately very tight. One advantage of the 310212 would be its size... But I think the 215 and 610 had a nicer, more natural, sound. I tried these cabs with my Mesa 400+ and my Boss GT-6B with an Aggie DB 728. By the way, I'm looking for a nice practice cab (probabally within $500) that can handle a 5er and preferrably has a tweeter. Any recommendations?
