And i was wondering what some other options are. The double bucks E string has horrible sustain. It's been adjusted in every way possible, and I've used a bevy of strings, but that all helped very little. The neck is straight as an arrow, and the pickups are adjusted as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Have you contacted Dana B. Goods (Warwick)? I've always heard good things about the customer service.
Frankensteining this old thread but is there any chance you still have your Warwick? I've also got a lefty cream precision bass that I'm thinking about moving on from. Thanks.
Hi GT. I see you are new here, so I won't torch you. You used the search function, which is great, but you also necroed a thread that is almost 10 years old. Pretty sure that @blubass made his decision many years ago. In a situation like this, I would have sent him a PM (which is called 'starting a conversation' on this platform). blubass is still very active here. Welcome to TB
Wow, thread from the dead! The Warwick is long gone... I moved on from that somewhere around 2012 or 2013 to help fund a 69 Chevy C10 short fleet i'm building. I'm not in the market for any basses at the moment but just because, what model is your P? I'm sure if you wanted to become a supporting member, you'd probably move it pretty quick here on the boards. For what it's worth... I found that the Rockbass line of Warwick $$'s were very comparable to their German versions. Import version aside, it was everything my other one was, save the exotic woods. The rockbass had a brighter sound. Either way, you couldn't go wrong if that's what you're in the market for, but you really should try before you buy or trade. That was an era of my playing and knowledge where I bought into a lot of perpetuated garbage. I thought if I just dumped a bunch of money on a bass it would be everything I wanted, and that wasn't the case; the $$ just wasn't a fit for me, even though it sounded and played beautiful in its' own right. Best of luck to you.
