    Wow, thanks for sharing!</sarcasm>

  3. okok,
I tried it for about ten minutes at my my local effects pedal shop

For the price, im a little dissappointed. Its very tweakable but essentially its alot of money for a cross between a bassballs and a qtron. It does sound similar to both. Maybe not as Vocal as the Bassballs. Being able to choose the start and stop of the filter is essentialy the same as on the BMS and works well in that respect. I think it should be priced closer to the Qtron than the BMS. It definitely needs alot longer spent on it than the 10 minutes I had, and needless to say, alot more fun could be had with the expression pedal

The lack of a master volume means you'll have to rely on the blend to mitigate unwanted volume boosts when engaging the pedal.

Its the same size as the XO BMS as expected.

  4. Oh yeah, the addition of presets like on the POGII would be a definite bonus for this pedal. I think with enough time, you'd find a few different tones you'd like, but its probably not one you'd wanna tweak on the fly. The Start and Stop Frequency controls can get into speaker-blowing territory unless you're careful, hence my comment about the Blend control - that works well to make the volume more controlable, as well as the LP/BP/HP switch.

  5. Interesting. I suppose the real question is: If you had it in your possession right now, would you flip it?

  6. flip it?
do you mean sell it? If so, then it'd be to early to tell. I'd be nice to see how it stands out in the band really.

If one came up used then i think i'd jump on it, but my gas i a little subdued for the moment. But its a pedal i'd like to try some more.

  7. Cool. And yes, I did mean sell it. ;)

  8. I really want to like it, but its early days yet, and I cant afford to buy one now :(

I think it would be cooler than anything if the BMS had presets. This thing might be useful as well with them.

  10. I reckon that'll be the next thing they bring out. Its the obvious next stage. The BMS has far too man excellent sounds to not take advantage of EHX preset system. And hell, if they can do it with the POG2, then they can do it with the BMS

  11. The 'EHX preset system' is directly related to their digital line of pedals. I don't think we'll be seeing presets on BMS or other analog filters anytime soon- at least not with the same implimentation as the POG2/Hazarai/etc

  12. thats a very good point actually

They'll probably come out with a new digital bass synth sometime to compete with the BMS.

Every time I think of getting rid of mine I play it and I think about something else...but it's so frigging big and the way it has to sit on my board currently is a bit stifling.

They could pull it off. It would have to be a system similar to the one on Hammond Organs (the real deal, 700 pound ones), which would probably make for a huge box though...
