$400 is a lot to me so buying a new standard is out of the question. I plan on switching the neck out for a tele style. Is there a good alternative?

i'm looking at getting a used mexican jazz for $250.
if you are broke and have an instrument you don't use anymore, think about trade-ins.

I have a disasembled squire P that I'm adding a new paint job to (not sure when I can get around to it again) and my only working instrument is another squire P. I'm sure someone would gladly pay $20 for it. All the local pawn shops focus on the big ticket items like guitars :rollno: , distortion pedals :rollno: and xbox

The closest one I think is in another state... If I get a Silvertone "jazz" and swap the pickups and neck am I in good shape?
