and I'm wanting a new bass, yet not quite sure what bass. I'm eyeballing a Rick 4001, or possibly a Stingray 5, or a Fender Jazz. But I just don't know. Help me decide! I prefer 4 string Fender styled, but I do need a 5 string, whcih is currently being subsituted by my Marcus Miller tuned B-D. The Lakland Darryl Jones 5 is another possible option as a local store just got a black one in. Help a brother out.

    black/black/maple? ;) heh.

  5. Get A Marcus Miller Fiver, or one a QMT or American Deluxe Jazz if you like Fenders.

    Here's another idea, a Bongo 5 maybe?

I'm not much on the MIA deluxe's or Bongos, and black/maple is just too plain for me.

I'm into trans, sparkle, burst, anything, just depends, but black/black is just too plain for me

  9. Patrick,

Do yourself a favor and get the Straus Blue Sparkle StingRay weve been talking about.

The more and more I think about it, the more I think I shouldn't since I already have a Stingray. If it was my old SBS one, I'd be all over it. Perhaps I should contact that guy off eBay.
