So, I'm trying out slap bass

    Yeah, I've been playing a while now. But for some reason, I always avoided slap bass. Is this supposed to hurt so much though? It's like learning bass all over again.

    Ease up a little bit. You don't need to hit the strings very hard to make them sound good. Just relax.

    Oh, and you're gonna get slammed here because slap is hated among people that can't do it. Don't worry about the haters.

    It does hurt, but It's not like learning bass all over again, first time I try I can only slap the E String and pop the G string, most of the time If I slap the A or D string I hit the other string, but now my slap is still a mess, but It's cleaner than it used to be.

    Heh, I've had 7 years since I picked up bass and I dunno why I didn't learn it. I've just seen another thread on another section that seems helpful. I still haven't figured what goes where. Oh, is there any section where I can post videos from my own channel? I could use some promotion.

    Been trying it out. Figured it'd be more interesting if it's a song. Been trying Can't Stop by RHCP. Hurts more than I thought.
