And I don't normally listen to Soundtracks of T.V. shows, but this guy Mike Post is credited as the Theme writer for many shows, and the themes are catchy...at least.

So I search the web and this guys been doing this for YEARS!

    Ever heard of him? Comments?

Are you kidding? Mike Post is one of my icons! He has written the themes to the biggest shows on TV:

    Magnum P.I.
    Hill Street Blues
    NYPD Blue
    Newsradio
    LA Law
    Law & Order.............
The White Shadow (Remember THAT one?)

There are many, many more he did that you know by heart too. He had a writing partner, Pete Carpenter who died in the early '80's, I think it was. They did some of those above together.

BTW, I am a TV music junkie!:)

    (This might belong in miscellaneous?)

  3. Oh yeah, I didn't know he did Law and Order and NYPD Blue. those are two of my favorite shows. I love the theme for Law & Order. What was that played on, any idea?

I believe Mike Post helped produce Van Halen's Balance album... He may have other producing credits aside from that...
