    I found out they will be finished in nitro! To bad they are already beat up and you can't do it yourself! Why Fender? WHY?!?!?!?!:meh:

    Why? Because some peeps like em that way. Get a highway one if you want one in nitro that looks new.

    What I mean is, if Fender releases a 50's line, or a 51', why can't they be done in nitro? Why have to choose between modding the parts and guts of a HWY1, or getting a period appropriate color that has no nitro? Or one that is color/part's appropriate without the nitro?

    Highway 1s don't have the gloss finish of the original nitro.

    I was just informed the Roadworn's still have that thick modern undercoat though...hmm.

    Nothing that a wood rasp or chainsaw wouldn't cure so it would look like a real manly-man relic!
