    Heya, folks,

Just a simple question: when you connect two amps, going from a headphone out, or some sort of line out from the first (main) amp and into the effects return, etc., of a second amp to use it simply as a power amp for extra cabinets, how do you set the level on the second amp? Do you just have to tweak stuff on both amps until the sound is balanced?

I'm thinking of doing this, using my AI Clarus SL as a little 250 watt power source for one of my EA Wizzy cabs, and am just curious as to how this sort of thing works.

    Thanks!

I suppose you could set the master volumes of each amp to match, and then adjust the volume with the gain or pre-volume knob on the preamp of the head you're using.

Other than that, I think you're probably stuck doing exactly what you don't want to do. Volume adjustments would be terrible (though doable).
