    I am looking for a software that can play the chosen chords and also drums.

    This way I can try to improvise on those chords.

    Any suggestions?

    It's got changes to over 800 tunes and a playback applet that you can loop and play along with.

    Band in a box is everything you want and then some. Worth every penny.

  6. if you don't mind programing your own chord changes,
    Reason 4.0 may be a good choice.

    better sounds than band in a box
    IMO band in a box is a very good option for practice, but sound to sterile for performance.

    Band in a box ++++1
    There are hundreds of free bb files on the web, but the package is great by itself.
