EDIT: Seems like the poll got lost in the forum move, so just leave a regular reply if you feel like it.
The settings with stock knobs are a bit hard to see in low light, so I tried a few others - which do you like?

Bonus picture: Stock knobs and BOSS style knobs on a Barbershop.

My primary vote is for the stock knobs, because I think they are awesome and part of the cool look. I don't have an issue seeing them on stage, especially since even if I get the settings off the pedal still sounds great.

BUT since you are obviously wanting something else, I voted differently in the poll.

OMG if you could ACTUALLY do the carrot knobs....that would be AWESOME!

On a darker colored pedal I would like the creme knobs, but on the lighter pedal I go for black.

I like MXR creme, MXR black also looks nice. Definitely MXR style ones in general.

I would only choose the carrot ones if they were those heirloom tort coloured ones.
  6. Stock. But if you must meddle with things, MXR creme are the only ones that look good out of that selection.

LOVE the effort you went to with the carrots though! Full of beta-carotene!

Trade the black pointer knobs on the Barbershop and the creme pointers on the Beta. Similar style/look, better color combos.

I like the stock knobs best visually, but if it were me I would use the Davies cream knobs to minimize the change that I'd accidentally change the settings with my feet when kicking it on.

You could paint the tops of the stock knobs with an orange florescent paint to match the pedal.
  10. Black knobs on that pedal just look wrong.

No surprise at the current leader.
  12. If seeing in the dark is the problem, then surely carrots is the answer!

Don't listen to the moon. Dannybuoy, nice to see a Boosh fan around here.

I like the stock knobs, but I'd paint the pointer and lower associated rim black, or orange.
Cream is the way to go, black knobs look completely wrong on this pedal, IMO. Both the MXR and Davies look good in cream on the pedal, but with the aforementioned mod, the stock knob is in for the win.

The Barbershop looks best with stock knobs, too.

Couldn't see where to vote. Guess I need the carrot knobs.

Thanks guys for participating. Seems like the poll got lost in the move to the new forum software.

Anyway, I'm partial to the Davies knobs but have actually put the stock knobs back for now. They do fit the look of the pedal, and I don't change the settings much once I've found a good one. I'll look into maybe painting the pointer bit.

We tried black knobs and it clashes, did not look nice at all. I love the look of the stock knobs, but the small, cream MXR style looks really nice too! Where is the pointer on the carrot knobs??
  17. You don't need pointers with carrot knobs - they sound good at all settings.

Plus, you can always take a bite out of them to indicate your favourite setting. Win-Win

I think you chose the right knobs. I hope you aren't annoyed with me now .... :nailbiting:

And yes, you should try carrot knobs, they'd sell like hotcakes to the TB community, and as dannybuoy said they do make any pedal sound great on every single setting!

Not annoyed at all!! Next time we have to make a knob choice, we might get you to make us a comparison chart like you did above!

Tried organic carrot knobs, but the shelf life sucked. Rotten knob warranties aren't fun....
