One of the best pedals I've ever owned, just moving in a different direction. This pedal is in beautiful condition and has top quality velcro already installed on the back.

 

Hey! Well I'm not familiar with the JHS but I've had a couple of SFT's.

I'd say at low gain the SFT and Beta are pretty similar. The main difference there is that the SFT can get overloaded by a high output bass very easily, and it really needs 18v to sound best.

At higher gain the SFT can get a little mushy...farty...spitty on the top end. Not sure the best way to describe it
The Beta is overall a little rounder on the top.

The SFT has more grunt in the bottom end, while the Beta has more punch in the bottom end. Best to buy both and see which you like better! They are similar but different. The main thing about the Beta is the huge fat bottom end it provides.
