    meh, not pointy enough...;)
  3. Sure, it's not pointy, but not every metal band or era used pointy instruments. This looks like it could handle all eras and subgenres of metal.

    I convert 4 string Rickenbackers to 5 string basses.
    Metal bands don't need a bass ... They have detuned guitars and 4x12 cabs

    Wow! I totally missed the DIO in the design....(closet DIO fan in my youth)

    DIO trumps pointy bass...this is the "best bass for metal"!
  11. I still think a Hofner with stainless strings would be just fine for metal. Silly points and black laquers.
