Somebody finally posted the bass master track from "Would?" This is without the drums, guitar and vocals in there you can really see how much Starr drove this song. He does barre chord it going into the chorus also the chorus he plays when you listen drives this song, I mean there are a lot of notes in there, and he is doing some interesting things with it. Then going into the second verse there is a huge slide in which he is leading the band back into it. You can't catch it all in the mix but it gives you an idea on how things are written and recorded to make them more fluid. Also on the outro instead of getting that C# on the 5th fret of the A string (remember 1/2 step down) it sounds like he is sliding to the 10th fret of the E string. Then he is hitting barre chords at the ends of stanzas. Really cool stuff. Enjoy! I am on a mission to find some guitar and master tracks also from different bands to see what they are using. Take the bass out of this song and his way of writing it and it's not the same.
