I really don't know how much basses should cost- how much should a MIM Jazz Bass go for used - I saw one at a pawn shop for $250.00 and I thought that was nuts - or is that about right? what do they go for new?....how about MIJ? MIA just rough estimates. (USA prices)

I spent the last two hours searching the web (I'm not real computer savy) and I saw most of those sites - I still have the same question - I thought with so many fender fans hanging around here I could get a pretty simple question answered fairly easily - I just wanted a ballpark guess - but thanks for not answering and making me feel dumb at the same time:confused:

new mim jazzes go for 350 - 400..... so yeah, 250 is about right for a used one.....

new mia jazzes go for 900 - 1000 so a used one would be around 600 or 700

mij are harder to come by since usually only reissues and sig models are mij... so that would vary by case

Fender didn't have any US production between early '85 and sometime in '88 when the Corona plant opened. Production for these years are MIJ(except for MIA reissues).
