Somebody tell me about this Acme Low B2....

    Seems like a ridiculously good price for the cab, but I notice that the cab looks different than the B2s on the Acme website <a href="http://www.acmebass.com">HERE</a>.

    It appears to have a metal box instead of just the regular wooden box, or is that just some sort or metal strips added for protection?

    I'm assuming that it's just an older model B2, but I don't want to bid if it's somethin' weird.....

    It's just a Series I. Not a metal box, just metal flash around the edges. Don't know what (if any) driver differences there are.
     
  3. The Low B2 Series I is simply an earlier version. The HF driver originally used went out of production and was changed to a newer model with a larger voice coil in the B2-II. The crossover was changed to afford a little more protection in the B2-II. The old model HF and mid drivers can be shut off completely while the newer driver can only be attenuated by 20db (easier on the amp). The only other change was the new powder-coated grille and edge strips.
