Or a Moped.
You live in WV. It snows/rains a lot of the year.
It's not a good idea to replace your car with a motorcycle.
It's not a good idea if you need to carry stuff, like a bass rig or groceries or a girlfriend, that you can carry in the car but not on the bike.

Your primary mode of transportation should never serve the dual purpose of being a toy. It will break and you will be without transportation. This holds true for off-road trucks, hot rods, old hobby cars, motorcycles, etc..
Also, only having a motorcycle is not just a mode of transportation - it's a lifestyle.
And I've already done the math... the added insurance that you pay for the bike will eat up any gas savings you thought you would get.
If you want a bike, get it. But I'd keep a car around for rainy/cold days. Not to mention how dangerous it is to drive it at night with all the deer out and about.
Append to, but do not replace.
That's all I really needed.
The quote I was given was for under $300 for the entire year, not per month.
I know... but my car gets about 35mpg. When you figure in winter, days in spring/fall that are too cold to ride, rainy days, multiple passenger days, hauling stuff around, etc., you're not saving anything. If you're just using it to go back and forth to work, POTENTIALLY rainy days will park it. You don't want to go to work at 8am and get caught in a 5pm thunderstorm that may or may not hit.
I want one (again) too, but I really can't justify it with economic savings.
I lost 2 friends to motorcycle accidents, I wouldn't get one .
Details? You own a dually V8 pickup or something?
Car drivers just don't see motorcycles.
Cars are bigger, even if they make the mistake, the motorcycle looses...
Wow, from research, you're better off riding than walking...
Nope, just a strong since of sarcasm that you overlooked or just decided to butt your head against anyways.
That is interesting.
Add a motorcycle or moped to your collection, don't replace a car with one, how'll get the stuuf to the gig?
I'm not going to watch this.
But, should I find a video of a fatal car accident and post that in arguement?
I'm not going to...because it's just unnecessary.
Due to some brain malfunctions on my part I ended up going DI at my gig saturday and sounded great. I was very surprised.
Or I could just do like my guitarist and drummer do and leave my gear at the other guitarists house.
I can usually find ways to justify buying the things I want too.
