when you go to www.talkbass.com ....in the main text it tells about the site and the forums and says "over 946324 posts." (or whatever the number may be) ...isn't that the exact number of posts? couldn't paul just say "Over 900,000" posts?

Maybe once we breach a million posts then that would be more appropriate. But I don't mind as is.

nope cuz when i made this thread (today) i took the number right off teh front page...now it is 946467

it gives an exact number on members and threads...i just think it should all be "over" or exact

Well, when you think about it, it does make sense.

Presumably, a new post is being made every few seconds, so when the person reads that, a new post very well may have been made since that number showed on that page.

well then couldn't people register and new threads be created since the number shows up on the page?

if they are all updated constantly, they should cll say "over posts/members/threads" or have the exact number
