I just thought I'd show a few pics of what I was doing on Sunday here in Charleston. The Tall ships were in port for viewing, so me and the guys in the band and our women folk went downtown for the day and acted like tourist lol. If you ever get to see these ships in person, do it, they're simply amazing!!! I got a lot more pics that are better than these that I'll upload later this afternoon and post. {} {} {} {} {} {} The guys on the right is my brother/guitarist and his buddy is in the middle. {} {} {} And this is yours truly proving that I got a little captain in me, well more like 4 or 5 Captain and cokes at this point in the day lol. {}
Amazing pics. Amazing ship. Amazing know-how to build it, even if 150+ years old. Plus - you definitely DO have captain in you. Any crew member in his right mind would heed your orders, given your physical presence. Superduck - ropes are amazing. Even time on a much smaller sailing vessel has me near paranoid of their power, given they tie to BIG sails...
There's an Indonesian one going around as well, they came here to Pearl Harbor for about a week. Cool ship, would be interesting to sail. A hell of alot different than the large gray metal floating death machine I work on.
Reminds me of the shore in Rhode Island, except it isn't that crowded in RI. Wow, I really hate NJ now, it has nothing but people...
