Attention TalkBassers: Twiggy Ramirez has been cut loose from Marilyn Manson! Apparently, Marilyn is of the opinion that Twiggy is not as into the whole Manson lifestyle as he could or should be. Twiggy is currently recording with another band (The Headbands) and MM has taken on a new bassist (Tim Skold) and is working on another album.

    That is all.

    What's the "(somewhat) exciting" part?

Kind of interesting that Manson does not feel Ramirez is "into" the band, being as he has been their bass player for years since their start in Fort Lauderdale. He must have been pretty "into" the band to survive this long. But I can understand fully why his interest in that offbeat lifestyle might wane after a while. I wish Ramirez luck with his new band.

Sorry. The title should have read "(somewhat) interesting..." My bad.

    EDIT: I changed the title.

Are you a mute, or a mime perhaps?

I was hoping he'd retired....but then they always come back, don't they. (shudders, thinking of Celine Dion.....)

  11. i have no opinion on twiggy in particular, as his playing has never stood out for me. but i like lots of marilyn manson's songs. he's got a lot of pop sensibility, just disguises it a little.

this actually happened months ago, and the news as i heard it at the time was that Twiggy left the band all on his own, saying that he still loves manson, etc, but that the lifestyle isn't for him anymore

i also heard that manson was supportive of his departure, and that they are still friends... but you never know
