Ok, well the first episode was a smash hit so let's see how the sequel turns out....

    Conklin custom 8 string hollowbody!

The hollowbody (3" thick) is made of dragonwood (red sparkle finish) with a bubinga/maple bolt on neck and 24 fret maple fretboard, 34" scale, Black Conklin standard off-side dot inlays, Individual string saddles, Conklin custom pickups with ramp, and a Demeter 3 band preamp, Abalone capped knobs. This bass also has a purpleheart bound fretboard. Maple board has some subtle figuring as well. Conklin hard/soft case. (Retail: $7050)

Not really planning on getting anything. When I said "right-sizing" I meant that three 8 string bassess are really two too many.. I'll be keeping the Stambaugh.

Ahh, I thought you were changing your preferred string count.

  13. Guess you wouldn't be interested in the 7-string custom-made Conklin that's on the 'bay right now if you're selling your 8 stringer. Thought I'd make you look just 'cuz you play 'em. :smug:

    Wow !!!

What a bass, what a price!!!!! I hope someone scoops this up soon. Bill Conklins basses are thoroughly top notch, someone is about to get the deal of a lifetime.

I only wish it could be me.........................:crying:

Why does my timing always stink?

I just wish there was a similar used market in Europe.

  18. I agree!

if it were a 7 string bass, I would ask if you could send it across the atlantic.
Good luck with selling this 'great' bass

    BUMP!
