I was just wondering what you guys thought were some songs that evey good bassist should know? Not nessicarly the hardest or anything like that, just good songs. If this has already been covered, sorry, just tell me what to search for. Thanks.

What I mean is, any songs that you should probably learn depend on the kind(s) of music you want to play. F'r instance I don't know any Jaco songs, and I respect myself just fine.

That said: Barney Miller theme. :D

Ding ding ding ding ding!!!!! - this of course, is the correct answer. You only have to be able to play the intro, so it's easy to acquire this missing piece that will make you a 'complete' bass player :D

You know, I've been using the "Kiss by Prince" joke pretty much as long as I've been here, but nobody, has ever gotten it.
