I'm thinking about taking on the project of putting together the baddest dance/pop cover band in the area. The first thing I want to do is get the baddest set lists together, learn the songs myself, then find people of like mind.

I want every song to be a winner so I would like to know what your top 5 booty shakin' songs are that NEVER fail?

"Hey Ya" by Outkast always seems to do the trick. Plus, it's pretty easy and fun to play.

It's been scientifically proven that women cannot refrain from dancing to it.

Obscure, but I think "Red Dress" by TV On The Radio is a booty shaker. I'd be stoked if I heard a band playing that, but that's just me.

I think you'd get some action from the crowd with System of a Downs cover of Metro. ;)

  11. Wow, great concept. Be careful: You might end up with more awesome gig offers than you know what to do with.

Just don't shoot it down by wearing cargo shorts and t-shirts. My research shows the ladies are not too crazy about this look.

The Ballad of the Green Berets or Bad Bad Leroy Brown...
Oh yeah, those are sure fire chick magnet songs.

  18. ROCK in the USA, rolling into the eerily similar Jenny Jenny. Or, while on the medley theme, Sweet Home Alabama/All Summer Long/Werewolves of London.

There are no songs that do this 100% of the time. You need to go out and see local bands and see what works in your area.
Most any Rush tune, while keeping ME happy, would produce cartoon baffled question marks drawn above all the hot chicks heads as they "rush" to their smartphones to text someone.
