Songs You Get Lost In

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by HG1180, May 30, 2020.

  1. Post your favorite songs to play, that when you play them, you just get lost in them, wether it be the riff, the vocals, whatever...
    Ill start!

(And I mean lost in them as a good thing, not lost in them that you lose your place whilst playing or something rather)

Call me crazy, but You're in My Heart, by Rod Stewart. Just acoustic guitar, violin, and bass, but the way they work together is really nice. A forgotten gem.

Footsteps in the Dark is like the best textbook to learn how to layer up (deceptively) simple lines into a great track. There are about twice as many instruments at the end as the start but nothing ever treads on anyone else’s part. Such a great arrangement (the vocal and the killer groove don’t hurt either!)
