I would love for anyone with a:
    Sonic Blue
    SeaFoam (Sea Foam) Green
    Lake Placid Blue
with Tortoise shell pickguard to show off your bass

I need some ideas for my own bass.
I'm looking into getting one of these three colors and Cannot decide

especially because they look so different in different light

Id love for it to be a lakland but any bass would do!

    thanks so much!!!

Lake Placid or Sonic Blue in my opinion. Sea Foam and tort look odd together.

    I love all these colors.

This isn't mine, but here's a sonic blue Glaub. Search around and you'll see a number of LPB DJs. When I get a couple minutes, I'll track down a seafoam Duck Dunn.

I no longer own this bass, but here's an old one of mine in Sonic Blue. You're right, it looks very different in different kinds of light. But it's a hot color combination, IMO.

  8. DANG.
How come I don't remember you posting this in the LOG thread? (well, considering how many posts that damn thing gets......)

The blue on this is just beautiful. It's reminiscent of the "old LPB" paintjobs seen on vintage Fenders.

This is why it's so damn hard!

The same exact bass in different lighting has a Totally different look.. albeit both are Very nice shades

and what is that guard called that the DJ often has on it ... like a black perloid?

    sexy...

That's an AWESOME Decade, but isn't it Daphne instead of Sonic? Unless the color of those pics is WAY off.

I was under the impression that Lakland sonic blue is different (Deeper) from Fender sonic blue

    is that correct?

Oh, well if that's true than that would explain it. That certainly looks much darker than Fender's Sonic.

This issue confuses me though, since weren't Fender's original custom colors based on DuPont automotive colors? (In other words, Fender didn't invent the names Sonic Blue, Shoreline Gold, etc. - they already existed and referred to specific car colors.) So why would a company (like Lakland) use those same names for different colors?
