To all Zon Sonus Special aficionados. Please tell me more about the mid frequency pot inside the back cavity. Does it change the mid frequency or does it boost the preset mid frequency. Thanks.

    Well, I don't have a Sonus Special, I have a Sonus Custom.

But the way that it works on mine is that it is a boost/cut control.

There is also a slider switch in the cavity of my Custom that sets the mid frequency. Mine is fretless so I have it set to 700 hz for maximum mwaahhh.:)

I don't know if the electronics on the Special are like the ones on the Custom or not, look in the cavity and see if you have a slider switch.

    Good luck!

    Thanks for the suggestion Jeff....

I don't see a slider, just the pot in the middle which controls the mid frequency and an input gain to the far left of the cavity. Maybe someone with a Sonus Special will see this and help out. Otherwise, I'll call Joe in the morning.
