sony sound forge

    hey i just bought sony sound forge and a mobilepre USB, i recorded a guitar part to a song i've been working on...now i wanna be able to hear that same song, while recording my bass part on the same file, how do i do this??

    i dont think sound forge has multitrack capability...
    i use acid pro for this, they advertise it as a loop based program but it is a unlimited amount of tracks multi-tracker...

    i record in this and then go to sound forge for editing...

    Yeah, Sound Forge is a not a multi-track program. You will have to import your guitar line into another program (as stated above) and overdub there.

    if you are recording bass and guitars and have no need for midi, i would suggest the Cakewalks Guitar Tracks program. very nice. you can get a demo from their website.
