Sounds very good. Reminds me of Vic Wooten's tone - the fingerstyle one sounds a lot like his fretless.

What did you run the bass through on the recording?

Thanks for the kind comments guys.

The player is a friend of mine, Bastien Burger. We recorded that last night pretty quickly because I have to deliver the bass to its owner soon.
The bass was run directly in the recording device. I don't know about all that stuff but I assume ther was an Old Atari ST computer along with cubase and a numeric studio...

If you are interested about that, I can ask Bastien about it, just let me know.

    Peace, JP

Wow, sounds great. The low notes have a lot of clarity and growl to them. Your friend's one hyper player.

Anyway, your friend is a very good player.

the bass sounds great! you should feel proud - its also beautiful- almost teh same specs as the MTD that didnt work out for me- except for the top- that makes the mystery even deeper... hmm..

    Thanks a lot Adrian.
About the MTD...Maybe the barts were too much with the alder body. I wonder what the bass would have sound with EMG-CS or custom aeros?

well- the reason i went with what i did , JP, ws actually that i had an R bass here with bart pups, bart pre, macassar ebony topo and alder body-it sounded very warm annd punchy-- the MTD just came out brittle- and i dont blame Mike Tibais at all!! i really blame myself because i called the shots on the wood selection- every other MTD ive played has be smoking!!
you got a great sounding bas there- i may not give up on alder forever as i thought before--

    Salut JP,

Great sound, cool bassist too. Bastien donnerait pas des cours par hasard? Par plus que curiosité, c'est quoi le prix de la Plume?
