Sound Comparison Between '51 P-Bass and Jazz Bass Pickups?

    So I've got an idea for a custom Warmoth bass I want to build that will have a '51 P-Bass style to it, but with two single coil pickups, in the 60's Jazz Bass positions.

    With that said, what are the differences in the tone between a Fender early-50's style single coil and a standard J-Bass style single coil? I'm going for a Jazz-ish tone with this bass, but I like the looks of the early 50's pickups on a Precision body.

    Thoughts?
