Soundclips - SVP-Pro, Sansamp PSA/RBI

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Phyrexian, Dec 31, 2002.

  1. Hi,

I'm planning to get me a preamp.
I've limited my choices to an Ampeg SVP-Pro or a Tech21NYC Sansamp PSA or an RBI.

    But!
I've never had the change to try one of these out (hard to find shops in belgium which have these in stock) so I ask you guys for soundclips of these amps.

I've tried the search function on this forum, but no results so far...

Ow yeah, I mostly play heavy rock and or metal (every possible form of it! :)

  2. If you want to hear the RBI listen to Rush's Vapor Trails. I believe that Geddy Lee used one on the entire album. I own one myself and I love it.

While the SVP sounds great, the RBI sounds just as great is more verastile.
I own a SVT-3 Pro (And use only the Pre in it) and I also own the RBI. I have to admit that I prefer the sound of the RBI over my Ampeg, truthfully.
It just smokes. Gets my vote.
I honestly could not be happier with my tone.
The PSA (while great) is primarily a guitar pre with some nice Bass presets.
