soundwaving (Ampeg)

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by The Antipop, May 25, 2004.

  1. The last time I was jamming with my band, the sound from my 8-10 was fading in and out here and there...

    Anyone know why this is?

Also, The peak light is always comming on, even at low volumes.... (SVT 4PRO)

    Several possible reasons.

Start with battery in the bass, if any.

There could be a problem with the amp.

Doubtful there is a speaker problem, they usually are either off or on.

The peak light could be on all the time because you are hitting it with a big signal, or because the gain is up.

Try the -15 pad switch. That should take care of the peak light, and could fix the other problem.

Otherwise there could be a fairly simple bad connection somewhere. The two problems could be related, particularly if the light is on when the volume dips.
  3. thanks, I'll try that tomorrow...
