Source for true vintage pickups

    thought I'd ask here as well as the Pickups board..

    but if you were restoring a bass and wanted an original 66 P Bass pickup (like from a slab P bass), where would you look?

    any pickup specialist dealers you can recommend?

    ebay maby? I dont know how much you care about getting real vintage, but i heard the Seymour Duncan antiquites are pretty close to the real deal vintage stuff.

    FWIW:

    not supposed to double post but ebay is probably as good as any. Steve Barr at Vintage Bass Trader could probably turn you on to some sources aside from himself and any vintage shop (ie. Elderly, Ghruen -sp?, etc) would be worth contacting.
