Edit: ****It's been up here for a couple weeks, so I'm now willing to consider trade offers. Trade interests plus or minus cash; pre-amp/DI pedals, delay pedals, smaller pedal train (nano, etc), neo cabs...try me! I really do need the cash, and I like mint/like new gear with original paperwork and packing, so please don't be offended if I say no.****

For sale is my mint condition Southampton Fifth Gear overdrive pedal. (it's the smaller first version) I love this pedal and really want to keep it for future use, but I currently have a 2nd generation 5th gear on my board. I need cash and can't justify keeping this one stored away any more. This pedal was used on my board for a few months and still has two small pieces of 3M Dual Lock on the bottom, which I can remove if you so desire.

Pedal works perfectly and is still in brand new/mint condition.

I have the V2 and love it, don't really need the V1 but it would be nice.....it shouldn't take long before you sell it

I have V1, and would like to try V2.

V1 is excellent, however. Someone should buy this.

The V1 is (per Southampton) the sound of the V2 with the heat knob turned all the way off. And its smaller size can be a real plus on a busy board. I played the original and loved it. I bought the V2 mainly because Southampton had already discontinued the V1 when I finally got around to buying one. I would have been perfectly happy with a V1.

Does the v1 have an internal trim pot for heat and/or volume?

Not that I am aware of. Never felt that I needed it with this pedal.

How is this still here?!?! These pedals are KILLER sounding overdrives especially for that pushed tube amp vibe. It does begin to break up before it boosts over unity(around 9:00). Great sounding pedal.

I’m amazed it took that long too. It’s a great pedal, and a steal for $85. If I didn’t already have one I’d have been on it immediately. Go figure huh?
