Every now and then it getss mentioned on here, so I thought I'd see who else appreciates the greatest form of alcohol ever invented. If you have good recipes, post em. (food or drink)

    The obvious
    On the rocks
    with coke

and one of my favorites, the gladiator.

    (yeah, i was bored)

  2. Favourite recipe? In a glass, really.

Grey Goose with OJ or sometime in a shot, So Co and Cola of choice, and Corona with lime are my three favorite drinks.

Here is a cool drink to try (Note, this drink requires some expensive alcohol). Though, So Co isn't an ingredient in the drink. Also, not a drink to try and get a buzz with, this type of drink is designed to get drunk quickly with, i.e 3 of these and you should be very impaired.

    Flaming Dr. Pepper
1 Half Full Glass of Beer of your Choice
1 Shot of a mix of Half Ameretto and Bacardi 151.

Light shot, drop in beer and then drink/chug. It ends up tasting like Dr. Pepper hence the name.

    abark,

I'd assume the 151 is floated on top of the amaretto? I've done the same without it and that can get a bit rough. Does the amaretto really make much of a difference?

Well, amaretto has a pleasant taste while 151 is essentially lighter fluid. So yeah it makes a difference I believe, I have never shot straight 151, but it would probably need a proper chaser to help you not choke on it.

  7. Put 2 cubes in the empty glass.

Here's the more complex version (in construction of the drink and the resulting flavor)
    In a shaker:

    2 ice cubes
    1/2 shot Skyy vodka
    1/2 shot Cointreau (orange)
1 shot orange vodka (Stoli or Smirnoff)
    3 shots cranberry juice
    6 drips lime juice
    shake well

Here's the simpler but still yummy version:

    In a shaker:

    2 ice cubes
2 shots orange vodka (Stoli or Smirnoff)
    3 shots cranberry juice
    shake well

    Enjoy.

I liked it, but as the alcohol used isn't something I regularly drink, I have only had it a few times.

    Here's another.

    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz Whiskey of choice
Lemon Juice to Taste (1-2 oz)
    Little Sugar (Teaspoon)
    Slice of Lemon for decoration.

Sip and enjoy, if it doesn't lock your jaw up. :D

  9. SoCo and Root. It's root beer and southern comfort. Simple.

Here's my most complicated mixed drink:

    1) remove cork
    2) pour whiskey
    3) drink

Actually, I like a gin and tonic once in a while too.

Ooh, that 151 does burn... it burned the first time, didn't feel it the second time, and every time afterward it's felt like the 1st

I work with these three guys who tried to drink a fifth of Everclear in one night by taking shots and chasing with Coke. Bunch of idiots, that lot. That crap is like 190 proof. You can start a car with it.

It is a very smooth, sweet kind of whiskey. Not harsh like Jim Beam or Jack Daniels.

Yeah, everclear's great stuff for punch, but straight....ugh. Although I think just about everyone whose had a bottle open in front of em has to try shooting a bit of the stuff. Kinda funny how it doesn't taste, just burns

Nobody has posted food yet... here is easy one

    Drunk Chicken
1 Chicken (going to cook this on the grill)
1 3/4 full Can of beer of your choice

Essentially put the can up into the chicken and then cook normally. The beer keeps the chicken from getting dry and gives it a good taste. When it is finished remove can and eat.

Southern Screw (I am going to try this one right now)

2 oz Vodka (Grey Goose is the best that I have tried)
    2 oz Southern Comfort
    6 oz Orange Juice
    Ice

I don't even know what Everclear is... but now I'd like to try some. hm

EDIT: not anymore! well, no more than one shot.

"Grain Alcohol is a spirit derived from the fermentation of grain. It is distilled twice.
At 190 proof or 95-percent pure alcohol, Everclear is 95% pure grain alcohol, odorless, tasteless, and very potent.
Grain alcohol is used by cooks, distillers of other alcoholic beverages, and for medicinal purposes.

Caution: Because Grain Alcohol is clear, tasteless and very potent it could be very dangerous. Use it carefully for legitimate purposes only."
