Well as some of you know the DVD's were released sometime ago for these 3 cartoon series if you were to pickup the complete series to just one which would it be?

We need more threads about popular cartoons around here. 3 in 2 days is 47 too few.

    Love them all...

I voted South Park, cause It's all that is available late at night, when I'm home from practice.

Simpsons are the bomb/classic and Family Guy must have a bassist somewhere on their production team, cause there are these little hints... plus I'm sure that the Family Guy was based on MASSholes like me.

  13. Hmm Simpson's are the classic, but there are some pretty bad Simpson episodes, whereas with Family Guy you know the episode's gonna be good before it starts! I think I was into South Park when I was a (younger) kid, but FG gets my vote.

If you would have asked me about 4-5 years ago it would have been the Simpsons. Right now - my vote goes to Family Guy.

Although if they ever came out with a Home Movies compilation DVD it would win hands down.

I voted for Family Guy simply because it's more consistantly funny. But really it was a toss up between that and South Park.
I like Simpsons, but the middle seasons were substancially better than the 1st/2nd season and later stuff.
I like South Park because it's suprisingly relevent and current. The first season wasn't too great but once they got past the initial shock comedy it's comedy gold. I think South Park also has alot of musical appeal. They have Primus for thier theme song, Issac Heyes as Chef, Robert Smith saves the world from Barbara Streisand, Chef Aid had alot of cool music, plus thier original songs are actually pretty well done considering thier intended effect is absurdity or parody. My favorite episodes so far are the recent Canadian wizard of oz parody and the episode where they just say **** a buch of time.

And I like Family Guy because it's like the simpsons with ADHD and it forgot to take it's Ritalin. It's like comedy porn, there's a story, but it only serves to set up the gags.

Doesn't it take like 3 days to make one south park show. and like months to make 1 show of simpsons or family guy.

if they made a Calvin and Hobbes Animated prime time series, that'd probably end up becoming my favorite. But then again, I'm not sure how transferable it would be to a motioned medium. Sometimes the best thing about Calvin and Hobbes is being able to look at each frame for a while and just be in aw.
