To further trot out any recordings which twang & gallop...

(The melody and bass parts are both played on a Fender VI.)

I have learned the guitar part from 0.25 to 1.42 on Bass, it's quite do-able and transfers well, the thumb, index and middle picking is the tricky bit to get up to speed for the dynamic flow......but it's good for parties ;)

  5. I still have the original 45 vinyl of that.

I also have a baritonewhich I could be pursuaded to relinquish for filthy lucre.

There's more Fender VI'es floating about than one may imagine. The current economy is thinning collections and in some cases dropping prices.

Where to hunt for the elusive Fender VI.

Cool links. I saw fender custom shop reissues on ebay but wow are they pricey, I dont even think I could sell one of my basses and have enough to buy one.....I think I'll try to build my own when I get a chance.
