Has anyone ever played one of these? I played one in 2001 when I was at NAMM, but never closed the deal. Does anyone have one of these? Tell me about them.
The look and feel awesome! :bag:

Is Spalt the name of the manufacturer of the bass, or the type of wood used in the bass? I'm sure several companies, especially boutique-type manfacturers, use spalted woods in some of their basses, mostly for looks.

  8. Google up Ed Roman's review. He would gladly bait and switch to one of his own models which is S-O-O much better... Never mind.

I liked the Spalt that I played very much, and have heard similar good things from other folks who have actually played them.
