    Hi,

I own a Mesa Titan V12. I'd like to find an amp with distortion as backup, just in case. I was thinking about the EBS TD660. Is it a good idea? Is the drive on the TD close to the distortion produced by the Titan? I'm aware the Fafner would be a good choice but I'm not willing to spend that amount of cash for a backup amp.
I was also considering an Ampeg SVT 4 Pro with a Sansamp.

    Thanks for you feedback.

  2. I use a Darkglass MT900 and really love the dirt it can produce. They also make a smaller 500 watt head.

    Highly recommended.

I do not want to use pedals and I need a spare amp just in case. I know Darglass makes nice amps. But I don't think it's rackable. Is it?

    What about the Bassman 500/800?
