A friend sent me a link to this awhile back: SparkFun Proto Pedal - PRT-13124 - SparkFun Electronics For the not-too-technically inclined, perhaps a way to toe-dip into the DIY effects world? A nice tabula rasa for making offbeat/unique pedals? Or is it just clever marketing? Curious what you think.
Some.pretty tone less and noisy examples, but I'm in favor of anything that will help one become more creative and develop new skills.
Yeah, I agree that the video doesn't really sell it. But the idea of an easy-to-assemble blank slate is intriguing. Maybe to experiment with some wacky circuits? I'm not a DIYer when it comes to electronics, but I've been cautiously intrigued to try my hand at it some day.
Wow real hot topic burning up the intertubes. If it's all marketing bluster, it's not very good at it.
