I know its not really recommended and ive never been one to want to try it out. But i want to know how safe it is to run an amp that has a wattage equal to the maximum recommended wattage input of the speakers

    for example a 400w amp into a 400w 4ohm cab
    Or a 400w amp into two 200w 8ohm cabs

    Thanks

Your amp has a volume control. If you're putting too much power into the speakers they'll distort. That's their way of telling you to turn it down. ;)
