Per the Eminence web site the advantages of cast aluminum are:

    1. Strength
    2. Doesn't deplete the magnetic strength of the motor
    3. Weight

My question is- are stamped frame drivers worth using, or is bass guitar amplification so demanding that only cast is worth considering?
  2. I've got some perfectly good sounding cabs with stamped frame drivers. A good cab with a good quality stamped frame driver can be good sounding.

A crappy cab (poorly built) with a cast driver will sound crappy. Or a cab which didn't match the Thiele-Small parameters of the driver with the cab.

    IMHO of course.
