Speaker configuration question (Ohms)

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by flavorfactory, May 29, 2002.

  1. I have an SWR Bass 350 and an 8-ohm Bag End 15" cabinet.

Say I want to add an additional cabinet. Am I limited to just adding another 8 ohm, or could the second cabinet be a 4-ohm box (or even 2-ohm)?

Your 350 is rated to 2 ohms. This means that you could run
    1) an 8 and a 4 (2.67 ohms)
    2) 4 8 ohm cabs (2 ohms)
    3) 2 4 ohm cabs (2 ohms)
    4) 1 2 ohm cab
    5) 3 8 ohm cabs (2.67)

    Hope this helps
    :D

  3. or

two 8 ohm cabs (4 ohms)
