Does anyone know of anyone that recones speakers in the Massachusetts area? Or is there some place that is very reputable that I should sedn them to?

Also Does anyone know of a good tube amp tech in the same area like within 50 Miles of Worcester MA

It's probably at the 50 mile mark, but:

AccuTech in East Hartford, Connecticut. Not only have I had good tube work done there, he's recommended by our own Bob Lee of QSC:

For amp repair Tom at Aztech on North Beacon in Watertown is great. A straight shot off the pike for you from Worcester, they're just on the other side of Watertown square. If I can't fix it I bring it to Tom. If it's vintage and you can get ahold of him Roy Goode is your man, but again, good luck getting ahold of him.

As far as speakers I've had mine done by OC Speaker Repair in California, but it costs an arm and a leg to ship both ways. Don't have someone local that I've used.

    Thanks for the responses

  5. You might want to check this guy in Mansfield out - http://www.guitarrepair.com/. My understanding is that he's something of a tube expert and does a lot of work on guitar tube amps (he also has a pretty good site with lots of tube info). I will also note that when my Ashdown ABM (tube pre-amp) had an issue, he was not particularly interested in working on it since it was only a single tube pre-amp. He did, however, refer me to Aztech in Watertown, and they addressed my issue.

These guys are great for speaker reconing...

The owner, Charlie Tappa is great with customer service. They are a pro audio service center, so I don't know how much they do with musical instrument amplifiers and speakers, but I'll bet they know where to send you if they don't.
