    Help me Talkbass! Please!!!! :(

I cannot seem to find any information on a pair of speakers that are currently in my
Fender Pro 400 combo. One speaker has gone bad and from what I've read it's always best to replace both. I've emailed Fender asking for some speaker information but with no results.
The ONLY information that I have so far is the speaker model number which is 057982000.
According to an old (archive) PRO 400 downloadable manual from the Fender website, it states that the speaker is an Eminence 8 ohm speaker but shows no watt rating.... So I'm kinda stuck. :( I have checked out the Eminence BP-102's but they are rated at 200 watts each and judging by every review I've read folks REALLY like them, but I'm STUCK because I have NO IDEA what the current OEM speakers are rated at.
I'm not sure if I should get two of the BP-102's or just a pair of 8 ohm 10"s that are less expensive......SIGH*
Could someone PLEASE HELP ME? :(

    Thank you all in advance!

You might check with Fender to see if that part number is still available.

If not, Eminence should be able to make a closest recommendation from their stock offerings.

    [edit for dreadful auto-correct error]

At first glance, I thought you were saying Eminence might give him something out of their closet. You know, like hand-me-downs. Just sayin'.... :)

If you do get replacements other than the OEM speakers, they need to be able to handle at least 175 watts. Your amp is 350 watts, so each speaker gets 175 at full volume. The BP-102's should be just fine, but as stated I would check with Eminence first.

Anthony Lucas at Eminence JUST replied to an email I sent YESTERDAY.:)
He kindly broke it all down for me from the speakers they designed specifically for Fender and that particular model amplifier. He also recommended one model speaker that would match the current one as well as another model should I consider upgrading! Very, very cool! :)

    Thanks again guys! :)

Now just don't put a screwdriver through a surround of your new drivers. It ruins your day! :(
